2012 - I had Vertical Sleeve Gastric Surgery in October 2012, and this is my journey to push the fat girl aside and start living life without fear of lawn chairs, the middle seat, clothing shops and high heels. Among other things.

2017 - I'm preop for the Duodenal Switch procedure for my sleeve to help me get to goal weight....and to fix another hiatal hernia.

Weekly Planning

First of all... Happy Canadian Thanksgiving.

Last night we had little steaks (1 had 1, husbeast had 2),  2 super-mini baked potatoes - purple! my fav with a dot of greek yogurt, and roasted cauliflower (it's on a side plate for size reference).  We also had some pumpkin cake with whip cream (no picture).  We watched the Walking Dead premier (I love me some zombies) and generally enjoyed ourselves.  No big deal, I don't have any family down here and I wanted it nice and low key anyway.  Have just noted the general lack of greens in this dinner.

Its sideways...not sure why. But its Monday, so...that makes total sense.

I also prepped my lunches for the week into my little plastic "bento" style boxes:
Hummus
Cucumber slices
baby carrots
Lite Moz string cheese stick
Thin Triskets

Breakfast:
3/4c Cottage cheese & pineapple cup
Coffee x2

Snacks:
greek yogurt w/ almonds
oatmeal

I've already talked myself out of Starbucks today... because typically I tell myself its just for the coffee and then I get a pastry as well.. you know, because I'm there.  So today. No.

I've got a busy week coming up.  So  know the more planning I do the better.  I had a big grocery shop this weekend as well - stocked up on easy simple foods that I like ... so that I'm not temped to eat out this week.   That is key for me... if making food at home is too time consuming... then I just don't do it.

I'm very pleased with my weight this month, so I want to keep on the roll.   236.4 is an all new low for me.  Its nice to see that number again. 236.6 in July was the last one.   Water, eating at home, walking more, feeling positive.   Staying on it.

I think that Fall has a little something to do with it. The weather here is getting slightly cooler... for Houston that's still outrageously hot for anywhere north of the lone star state (80's).   Regardless, I'm happy to be making better choices on a more regular basis.

Also - should be noed for my own purposes that my peiod startd today and I think that there is a trend with my cycle that I might want to try and pay better attention to.

That is all!
