Saturday I ended up finishing the day with 25 sets of up-down flights of stairs, along with packing and stacking boxes.
Today was easier, most everything was done, another 12 sets of stairs and more boxes of books and shittery taken care of.
Phew!
Food has been total crap this weekend, I've eaten out just about every meal, even tonight's was restaurant leftovers. Ug. Time to get back on the wagon this week at the office.
2012 - I had Vertical Sleeve Gastric Surgery in October 2012, and this is my journey to push the fat girl aside and start living life without fear of lawn chairs, the middle seat, clothing shops and high heels. Among other things.
2017 - I'm preop for the Duodenal Switch procedure for my sleeve to help me get to goal weight....and to fix another hiatal hernia.

Happy Monday
Monday Weigh In - 257.8
I had been starting to really worry about my big stall in December. However, I took stock, thought about my food, my activity, my sleep, my water intake - and decided that I would not have a full blown panic about it. I would simply make a few adjustments back towards the direction that I should and bingo. Payoff.
Today I didn't want to eat my tuna for lunch, but... I did, because now I am full and can't imagine putting anything else in there, protein - its whats good for ya!
"The weight will come off" was my mantra every morning I got on the scale, even though it didn't move much at all. After my little changes, the last few days have been glorious.
Weigh dropping on the scale is the result of persistence, good eating, water and effort over the last few weeks. NOT giving up. Not eating poorly because I'm not losing anyway so why bother. All good lessons to file into the brain bank and remember for the end of the month, when this will surely happen again.
I kept on it, and I have been happily rewarded for my perseverance and persistence.

H2O
Yesterdays weigh in showed how much water I've been missing and how many salty snacks I've been noshing on at the office.
Damn you Christmas snacks!
Weight yesterday was 261.8! boom. Rings felt tighter and I've been not sleeping as well. Water water water water!
I'm on it! Yesterday I did get more water. We were let go at noon, so I got our weekend/Christmas grocery shopping done, got a pedi! GREEN SPARKLY TOES! and a variety of other chores are finished.
I had some trouble with dinner last night - steak. But I think that is also from the lack of water in my system.
This mornings weigh in was more reflective of my change in habits! 260.4. Heading down again. :)
I'm looking forward to a solid quiet weekend with my books, wrapping gifts and visiting with friends. One of our single mom friends is going to spend Christmas Eve with us, her kids are up with their father, so we didn't want her to be alone.
Coffee, Baileys, Good Company. I can't wait.
Up and At'em now. Here's to the start of a nice long weekend.

Holding Steady
Weigh in this morning: 264.0
Holding steady, but I can almost feel the next drop coming. Its strange, the ebb and flow that is becoming more normal with my weight loss. I'll have to break out another graph soon - cause they are fun to look at!
Today's lunch is Pita Chips and Garlic Hummus from Whole Foods. Damn delicious!
I had a great food learning experience this morning. The Husbeast had another follow up dr's appointment for his knees (double quad-tendon rupture repairs). So appointment at 7am... Doctor sees us at 8:30am.. you know the drill. Ug. So much waiting. ANYWAY - after we were done we stopped in the restaurant in the building for a breakfast taco before work. Corn tortillas, egg, bacon, cheese, potatoes, salsa.
I used to eat 2 or 3 of these bad boys, and a full coffee, and then be hungry and eating again in an hour. Today I started noshing on it, got halfway through and realized that I wasn't going to be able to eat it all. So I pulled the tortilla back , ate a little more of the filling, and was done.
Its was the noticing. I noticed that I was getting full. I changed my behavior and stayed in my limit. I was happy. It was a nice learning moment. My eye's are changing finally - they are starting to see what I can and should be eating. No looking at how much more more more more.
Re-training is awesome!

Food Tracking
So I've been a bad food tracker since last week when my back went sour and I'd been living in pain since then.
I've just been letting it slide, which is never good. I think I kept my weight down because the foods that I wanted and tried to eat would not stay down (hotdog, taco to name two of them), and that put me off my eating for a bit.
Today was a freakn' free for all and I was about to go to bed without writing it all down and calculating it all out. "Oh... about 1,100 for sure", I've been telling myself all night, even though I overate snacks after work instead of just having dinner.
So I forced myself down and put it on the spreadsheet, and lo and behold, what do I remember.....
Right... cherry kolache at that meeting....oh... and some smarties in the afternoon.... and the cereal after work.....there is an extra 445 calories that I didn't need today. Also, I didn't need that last cheese, that was silly and I ate it even though I didn't want to. Yummy, yes. Needed, no.
Also... Water. Drink some silly woman.
Getting shit together in 3....2....1...
Here is todays totals.

Thankful
Today is a trigger day for me, and so, the day before thanksgiving I'm going to give you my "thankful" post.
Today I'm suffering through some of my binge eating triggers. Pain, frustration, stress, tired, grocery shopping and the worst part...time in my car. AKA: the food chariot. The ugly scene of many a food crime that I have committed against myself for years.
I "WANT" candy, chocolate, ice cream, crackers, sweets, pie, whipped cream..... You name it. I want it in my mouth.
But today, I have been saved from myself. The sleeve will not allow me to get out of control. It was both exhilarating and irritating.
The old ugly binge beast has reared it's head and it demands to be fed. I was going to give in, i was going to sit in my car and eat cookies and chocolate. but my surgery is helping me. Today my sleeve is Gandolf, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"
Picture is my binge: cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, roasted chicken, red & green peppers. (unpictured: handful of nuts). Ate half. :)
